Looking forward to your range report. I've been thinking of getting one myself.

Not your fault, I just posted it.
Keep us in the loop when your's gets here. I bet you will love it.
Feels as good as my 5" Colt Government and shoots as well!
Great trigger.
I think my poor shipping may have been induced on the seller's end. I got a call when my R1 left Green Bay and they were saying how nice it was and to let them know what I thought about the gun once I had a chance to work it a while.
My bet is that after the turds fondled my "New R1" they forgot to re-wrap it and just threw it back in the case and shipper it.
Let us know if your's arrives with some sort of packing, wrap or what-ever. I bet it does.

I got the opportunity to scrutinize and fondle one yesterday at a local shop. Looks to be a nice, well made piece at a good price. Lotta bang for the buck.

Does it have the same Main Spring Housing issue that Cane put in his range report?

The gun has a flat mainspring housing. (which I prefer).
It is a nice looking gun. One may find its way into my group of 45s sometime soon.

I thought there was something about how the MSH and frame did not match near the bottom (thought there was an image and comment in Cane's report). Otherwise, the reviews I have read have been positive. This being the first Remington model, I wonder what they have in store?
