Default Remington R1 enhanced

Interested in purchasing one but most reviews I've read say that the gun shoots a little to the left. As a newbie to 1911's, is that something I should be concerned with

I would probably think that's a problem to many shooters new to the 1911 platform. I had the same problem. Once I learned how to drive the gun instead of letting it drive me, that cleared up.

I agree with trip. I have alot of experience with 1911's and imo they are the straightest shooting guns as long as you know how to shoot them.

i have one and it doesn't shoot to the left until i want it to shoot to the left!

the pistol is amazingly accurate. probably more accurate than most shooter are capable of being.

We have just an R1 and no problems shooting left. You won't have any regrets going with the Remington. Here's a pic of ZGs Rem and my SR1911. Like Trip said and any other gun if your not use to shooting it then it will not perform like it should.

I have not had that problem w 1911 but I did for awhile w XDM. It was a nice, neat group just to the left. People told me to change my grip and it cleared up.

Maybe it's like the yips in Golf ?!? Hope it never comes my way again. I can't explain it.

OP: have you tried a Couple sessions of dry firing ? Some people just take to a new pistol while others need some time to get used to it.

WARNING:
1911 is easy to fall in love with and may be habit forming.

mos people when they own their first one usually end up either buying another one or saving up for the next one.

i will be honest, the 1911 platform is my favorite pistol platform of all of them. there is just something classy about a 1911, that many others just don't have. it's design is timeless and has probably been copied more than any other pistol design.

for over 25 years i have owned at least one 1911 pistol. for some reason i just can't not be without one!
