I'm going to be trading that Hk usp45 for a Remington r1 enhanced. Do you guys think that's a good trade??? Please as many replies as you guys can. I will be doing this trade maybe tomarrow. Thanks. Both guns are in great shape.

Or should I just hold out for a Springfield armory 1911. Is Remington good????

i have the R1 Enhanced an it's one great pistol. personally i would do the trade because i happen to like 1911's much better than other types of pistols. HK makes dang good pistols, without a doubt, but as i said i just like 1911's! it comes down towhat makes you happy and not me or anyone else.

if you like 1911's, then IMO, the trade would be good for you as the R1 is one dang nice pistol. well made, very accurate and very nice looking to boot.

Thanks man. Its not a matter of what others like, like what u said. I love the Hk but I want a 1911 and I like my buddys Springer trp but can't afford that. I was just gonna sell the Hk and buy a Springer loaded 1911 but this guy offered the rem enhanced for trade but I didn't know how good Remington is. I don't want a problematic pistol. U know. Its nice looking. That's what caught my eye. I will.probably.get tritium sights for it though. I hate fiber optics. I was just looking for anyone with issues with this gun or just Remington at all. Glad you like it. Makes me feel better about the trade.

well i have shot quite a few rounds through mine! not one single problem to date. so far it has done well with factory loaded ammo and my reloads. accuracy is great. mine will group easily 2.5-3" groups at 10 yards. i am very pleased with those results.

the only one small issue i have is the firing system. it's similar or based off the Colt Series 80. so any mods internally would require Series 80 type parts. as mine shoots very well and because it does, i see this as really a not issue until i at some point in the future decide to make changes to the pistol.

What changes and mods? And what's the difference in.parts? I'm new to 1911's as you can tell.

Are remingtons just as reliable as others?????

The r1 is a good gun for the price ($800 new). If that is any help.

Yes. The top dollar on the standard model is like $729.00

If you're spending $800 on a R1 Enhanced, I would be looking very closely at the various Sig 1911s.
