I just back from the local gun store out here in the backwoods...the owner of the store tells me that he got word that the R1's will begin to ship-out June 12th or 13th. Should be arriving near the end of the month. So get ready...I feel there gonna go quick.

My FFL in Vancouver, WA, has a supplier who has the 1911R1 available.

Great News for the guy who ordered. Thurs. the 10th isn't too far from my dealer's suppliers' ship date of the 12th. Did you read that post here at FTF?

wow!! sounds like they will be coming into your area soon.

My local dealer said he's not sure how many he's getting because the supplier has to ration them out between all the dealers that they (the supplier) stock.
My local gun store is the biggest Remington dealer in my area.
Hope the supplier takes that into consideration.

I got the call Thursday that my R1 had shipped. I checked my FFL on Friday and it was a no-show.

He said it will be there on Monday. He did receive his R1 shipment of one and had it in the safe.

It's incredible! The matte finish is nice and even, the slide was tight and the fit and finish was great. I don't care for the silver trigger and the barrel bushing is over-sized and also silver.

Overall first impression: Outstanding!

I can't wait. I plan to go from the FFL to the range Monday and throw some lead downrange before my daughter's graduation Monday night.

Excuse me if I don't get a range report out until Tuesday.

Actually it's a pawn shop that I do business with. And yes he is the owner, just ordered one to see what they looked like. He says he plans to order more, "These will sell!"

He has the R1 for sale as it was ordered as a speck gun. I think he said he wanted $675 + transfer and 7% tax.

He's not open on the weekends because he spends them in the Keys.

I just got to wait until Monday.

If my R1 shoots as good as it looks this will be a canebrake five star! *****
