Reasonable price for SA 1911?
Ran into what I think is a SA Loaded stainless model at my LGS. It has the rear full adjustable sight, skeletonized hammer, extended beavertail, trigger with holes, flush mags, ambidextrious safety and wood checkered grips. It is rollmarked in US. I know its not a mil-spec or RO. Pretty sure it is a loaded model and it is preowned but never fired. All of the original packaging is included.
Price my gun guy has on it is $750 but I'll do a bit better than that on it. I would trade off my RIA and pay the balance in cash. Is the $750 fair?

Not yet. I wanted to confirm that it was a good price first. I went to a small gun show today but didn't run into anything. I'll call on Monday and tell him to hold the gun until after I get off work.

Good move as they run at least $800-$900 in most shops. Nice choice by the way.

Went and got it. It is the PI9132LP model. Top of the list on the Springfield site under the Loaded models. It is going to be the weekend before I get any pics. I'm out of town on business and not near a camera.
Davidson's lists it for $1100+. Traded my RIA and cash to get it. I think I made out pretty good on the deal as I had traded a shotgun that I got for free plus $100 for the RIA. Moved that plus $379 into the Springfield. And I got to shoot 500+ rounds through the RIA and confirm I like the 1911 platform.
I'll get out to shoot it this weekend when I get back in town. I try to put together a range report and pics then.

I just bought a brand new SA Ultra Compact 1911 with Trijicon night sights, full kit, and one extra magazine for $911.
I figure that's pretty good, since I've seen them around the net ranging from $800 used to $1100 new.
