I bought a Sig TacPac for $750 plus shipping. TacPac no rail, it comes with the paddle holster with mag pouch and 3 8 round mags.

I have had good results shooting Federal in the 550 round bulk pack.

I made the mistake of buying a box of 1000 Blazer for $17.99. The mistake was I did not buy the maximum of 10 cases the store allows per customer.

Heck, I had a handful of loose 22lr that was over 20 years old and my GSG ate it like candy.

For cleaning, follow the instructions on dis-assembly. I spray Rem oil on the parts, then wipe it down good. Use Q tips for the hard to reach places. Then I apply oil where there is metal on metal movement, slide rails, barrel bushing, etc.

For the barrel, I pull a bore snake through it a couple of times until it shines like new.

My dad has the Taurus pt1911al witch is light weight, accurate, reliable, and not the least bit ammo sensitive. I gave him some cast semi wadcutter handloads that wouldn't cycle in my m&p and it ate them up with out a problem. They make several flavors (rails etc) but no short barrel that i know of.
