I came across a Rock Island Armory 1911 and was wondering for the price is it a good deal or just a low quality company trying to compete. Even I can't to get my first 1911 I'd rather save a little longer instead of having a over priced boat anchor. Any feedback would be great
There are other much better choices than a glock or a strict 1911A1.

Here is one:

My officers, love it to death. No malfunction, over 1000 rounds. FMJ and JHP with deep cuts.

In my humble opinion, taking out the part about the manufacturer of the pistol in the 1911`s, I don`t think a 1911 is superior or or Glock or a CZ.

All pistols are very good and mostly more accurate in terms of selfprecision, then the shooter himself is.
In the end, it is alway the question, wich firearm suits me and fit me better. It`s no real use, in buying a Glock, if you can`t hit an open barn door with it and it`s no use in getting a 1911, if it just dosn`t feel right for you.

I bought a CZ75 Pre B and Sig P226 Classic. Where I coult hit with the CZ, I couldn`t with the P226. The trigger on the Sig just wasn`t mine, so I sold it and got a Colt 1911 Series 70 in 9mm and it feels really sweet and shoots very nice.

I agree as I stated in 1911 vs. Glock if you can't shoot you just can't shoot period. I only lightly brag about three things and shooting is one of them. I carry a glock 22 now before that h&k usp compact. 40 but I just like everything about a 1911 and for my size its still not hard to conceal if need be.
