In defense: I have not been able to find a comfortable (to me) Kydex IWB holster. I use leather and the rail chewed the insides of the holster (and added more bulk to the handgun I was trying to carry concealed).

While rails have their place, I do not believe they should be on CCW.

FWIW, the Smith M&P9c weighs 21.7 ounces while a Springfield Operator weighs (full size) weighs 42 ounces, but even the aluminum framed lightweight weighs 31 ounces.
I'll have to weigh my CD 1911 but I'm sure it's close to 42 ounces but when I say cheap belt it was under 20 bucks and it's an 1 1/4 wide and a 1/4 inch thick it just didn't cost me a small fortune to secure the holster.

You can get a good gun belt from Cabela's for $20 when they are on sale (Cabela's Double Duty belt, typically on sale about 3 or 4 times per year).

I never said go spend a "small fortune" on a belt, I simply said "wear a good gun belt."
