Default Pt1911

Just picked up taurus 1911 .45 my first 1911 so freaking excited haven't shot it yet but feels amazing trigger and all! Otd $530 can't beat that. Any body have opinions on this gun read some had to fix the sights? And any holster suggestions I know it's huge with the 5 inch barrel but its a beauty

I've had one for about 4 years, I had a lot of trouble out of it at first, but after 500 rounds or so it has become flawless, if you have any issues with it, dont be discouraged. Just finish that break in period, a couple of high quality mags couldnt hurt also.

Smoking deal BTW, mine was about $650

The Wilson combat and Chip McCormick mags are very good, but they also don't fit flush, they fit like a factory mag. Flush fitting mags also only hold 7 rounds.

My accuracy is pretty good, I haven't done much paper punching so I can't speak to group size, but I have bounced many cans around the backyard at 10-20 yards. I really need to get to an actual range with it

Here she is.

That's definitely a solid fun. I have one also. Keep the finish wiped down and oiled well. The black ones have a tendency to develop rust.

Wow what a good price. I picked up the stainless model, for 650 at Bass Pro about 7 months ago. Mine has been flawless. I have around 1500 rounds out, with out one hickup. I can hit the ten ring all day long a 10 yards, so I have been shooting 20 to 25 yards to hopefully get me better. My sights are dead on, with the fixed Novaks. I did have to drift the front sight to center it. I have no idea why it was off center out of the box.

For a holster, I have an old 1911 army holster that slings over the sholder, and you can carry it under your arm, or out in front. That was the holster i had in the army, as we had the 1911 for a side arm when I was in.

Happy shooting!
