Popping the cherry of my SA1911 loaded today
Wish me good luck guys! Hopefully the gun gods will look down upon me and let the SA 1911 loaded turn out to be a gift from above with tight slide and reliability throughout the un-virgining of my first pistol ever owned.

Oh god gentlemen! I spent 150 FMJ's today on it with 3 Wilson combat elite mags and 2 cheapy government mags. NO PROBLEM WHAT... SO...EVER!!! Im sooooo impressed by the gun it's AMAZING! I am embarrased to put pics on yet, I never owned a pistol legally before, but my groupings were pretty cute at about 10 yards and a mess at 25 yards. I will get back to you guys soon with pics as soon as I get the hang of it

Glad to hear that all the worrying was worth your while.
Remember the basics of handgun shooting and have fun!

That's excellent. Just clean it up and run about 400 more rounds through it. It sounds like you're ready to go.

It's effing amazing! Excuse my language but right now it is highly necessary because of the performance of the pistol. I'm taking my dad with me today because he never shot a 45 either and is super excited at heart from the way I explained it to him. We are over 6'3" and Over 200 lbs. We've only shot dinky walther p228 or something like from a James bond movie. So he's stoked lol.

sounds like a very positive "cherry popping" trip and it also sounds as if all we have to do now is “set the hook” just a little help, even though you haven’t asked… just remember the rear sight and the front sight are the same @ 10, 15 or 25 what stays the same is sight picture = sight alignment + trigger control = tight groups
