Default Pointman Seven

Looking at buying a Dan Wesson Pointman Seven in 10mm from a friend of mine for $850. Ran 16 rounds through it and fell in love. My question is, never having owned a 1911, is this as good a pistol as it seems? I know that for the price it is a steal. Any comments?

If i could afford a 1911 i would own about 20 of them. i'v fired a few of them including a rock island ( lower cost 1911 maker ) and they are great. from what i can tell there are a lot of people on here that own 1911's and swear by them.

I EDC a Dan Wesson CBOB and truly love it. I has worked flawlessly and been accurate straight from the box. These guns are well made and no mim parts are included

$850 seems a little steep for it.

Agree. I'd consider 650.00 as top dollar for it. You can buy new Kimbers for 850.00

Yup, but they're just not worth that much. With a Kimber, you'll get equal/better quality and your hard earned dollar stays in America.

Thanks for the input, Think I'll shop around a little before I make up my mind but the Dan Wesson retails new here for $1100 so it still might be a good deal.

I think it's a good deal. Not my pick but for different reasons other than make.

Unless you have other 10mm applications I would stay away from yet another ammo requirement in my arsenal.
