At the moment I own two plastic pieces lol. A XDm .45 and an FNH FNP-9. And to be honest right now I've been leaning towards the FNH. Just feels better in the hand. I'm waiting to get my first 1911 but I was in the gun store yesterday holding quite a few different models and they all feel better in the hands than any other pistol. Very shortly the 1911 will probably be the only gun I shoot and the rest will just sit in the safe and collect dust:/

I wouldn't unless I simply didn't have a choice. I'd honestly rather carry a pointed stick. BUT!!! If I had to choose between carrying a piece of tupperware and dying, I'd take the M&P. I like the looks of the xd, but haven't shot one. GLOCK is out of the question, and I like walthers too.

I would take the XD tactical 45 or the Rock River Arms poly 1911

Upmarket: H&K USP.45
Bargain priced: Witness Polymer.
No one said it had to be a striker fired gun.

I used to own a H&K USP. Had it for close to 15 years before it was moved aside for the 1911's...
If I ever went back to polymer frame, it would be another USP.
