Naw, to me (as far as that place) just means you can speak your mind as long as it in no way differs from a Mods opinion -
1. A Mod is always right there
2. A Mods opinion is much more important than yours
3. A Mod is much smarter & more knowdgeable about everything
4. A Mod has a sense of humor - your just a smarta$$
5. If any doubt refer to #1

After almost 1,000 posts i grew weary of trying to remember & adhere to those rules -

a good soak in in some degreaser will remove that crust you dont have on your 1911. be sure to wash with hot soapy distilled water to get rid of the degreaser then dry. or use compressed air to blow the degreaser off. immediately oil the weapon.

vaseline is petroleum based so degreaser should do the job. may need to take a tooth brush to the cracks.

While Vaseline is petroleum based, THAT is no longer vaseline- it is carbon and residue. Degreaser MIGHT help. I would give it a soak in KROIL, and see if it can get under the crud and break it loose.

If not, see earlier post about concrete mixer and 5 gallons of gravel..........

No I tried the concrete mixer. let u know if that work soon as the concret dries and falls off then i can see if the ornge stuff is gone
