SigArmored I'm sure you will be happy with your Colt.

Keep us in the loop on how your range trip goes.

Took her out to the range today and this is how she looked after 200 rnds through her.

forumrunner_20130407_184830.jpg

After loading both mags (8 rnds apiece) and getting a target up at 15 yards my first shot was just shy of spot on (surprise shot no doubt) every shot there after spread out on the target but within the outer rings. This pic is the very first target.

My girlfriend put two just beneath the outer ring. She had been going between two targets I posted. I had two ftf's in the first three mags I shot off with no further ftf or fte through the remainder of the 200 rnds. The trigger was light and crisp(as I knew it would be from dry fire practice).I was able to gather tighter groups as I shot and ended my break in with 2" groupings.
My only issue was the fact that the grips came loose and wiggled slightly after about 50 rnds.Other than that I had no issues.I will post a pic of the last targets when I blow them up where you can see them.

Ain't it great to get 'em dirty?

Do you think your FTF's were just getting use to a new platform or is it gun related?

If you plan to carry this Colt you should look into getting some Trip Research Gen II Cobra mags. The ONLY mag I will carry.

Think the ftf's were due to not making sure when I loaded that I was pushing them in all the way.

These are my final two targets and 17 rounds and yes I was completely satisfied with my groupings.

Canebreak I do plan on carrying her for sure but I wanna make sure we're trained well enough and have the right carry ammo for her.Already got a sweet IWB holster from Tucker gunleather picked out for her and I will absolutely be purchasing a set of those mags for carry.Question?Do you think I should take out the grip screws and apply some blue loctite ?

Head up to Lowes or Home Depot (plumbing dept) and pick up a bag of the smallest rubber O-rings (they are size #60). They will slip over your screws and when you tighten them down the O-rings will keep the screws from backing out.
