I really feel the S&W 500 is a novelty gun, I can't believe anyone really enjoys shooting it often & repeatably. I am sure you will get much more usage out of the 1911 or 2011 STI models

OR, better yet, the 460 Rowland.

1911 all the way. The .500 is useless, pointless and is total novelty. If you need a .500 for hunting......go get a rifle!!!
Seriously, you will shoot the 1911 much more and have more fun with it. I own 3 and I haven't stopped the craving yet for another! Next one is going to be a Smith.
Good luck and get the 1911!!

Kimber or Colt 1911 or a Smith and Wesson 500........you make the call!
Colt 1911 this year and the S&W..........but in 460 (a much better round) next year.

Even Mike Golden likes the 460 better!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
