Default Novak Cut??

Ok, dumb question to some, but I do not like the small military profile sights on my Sprgfld 1911 GI.
I want to mount some new sights on, but most say it needs the Novak cut.
Can anyone tell me if it does or not, or how I check to see if it does??

Novak sights require a special cut on the back of a slide. See Novak's sight install instructions for a better explanation of the novak cut.

You can send the slide to Novak's and they'll cut the slide and install the sights for you.
