Same parent company, I believe based on a quickie review that the Girsan is their next step up quality wise....but obviously the $399 deal is for the GI model which is bone stock. In my opinion these Turkish 1911's are well made and slowly making a name for themselves! I'm loving my Girsan sport model in parkerized black

I have a couple of purchases I have to square away before I can entertain buying another handgun but the more I look at them the more interested I get.

that's a sweet deal! thanks for the heads-up Cane!

Turkish made firearms can range from poor in quality to very well made. looking at the Girsan on the websites and the reviews, it looks to worthy of consideration for a 1911.

this also looks to be a viable candidate for a person wanting a complete 1911 for a custom build.
