Default Nighthawk Joins the Double Stack Ranks

Nighthawk Tactical FLX Upgrade

FLX Upgrade - You can buy a high cap, steel lower with a polymer handle for your existing Steel Slide. *curious*

One of the best things for me, from a lowly apprentice standpoint, is the fit and finish of the Nighthawk Frame to the Nighthawk Slide. Since the new frame is still steel, I am wondering about the lateral tolerances of the new lower.

Needless to say, yes, I will be calling Nighthawk in the morning about my GRP.

I don't believe I need 12 or 14 rounds of .45 ACP, but to just disregard this offering would be stupid.

How the barrel locks up is more important to me than frame to slide. higher toleaences in the frame to slide just means more lube and break in time.

Nighthawks are sweet, but way out of the range I would pay for a handgun.

Have you shot one yet? Perhaps you should come over and experience the difference. There is NO problem with barrel lock up in these 1911's.

No, I haven't shot one. I wasn't suggesting that barrel lock-up would be an issue with them, just suggesting that barrel lock up is more important than slide to frame fit.

I'm afraid if I did shoot one I might sell all my other guns to own one, lol.

There's a limit on how much I will spend for a gun right now. Perhaps when I'm older, Lord willing, and I believe I need to reduce my stock I will only own a select few, but for now more is better.

What if the job is a hardcore gang from the history channel showing up on your doorstep?

Muwhahahahahaha!

I have two German Sheppard MONSTERS that reside here and I live on a man-made island with a HOA.

Should an entire gang show up on my doorstep for no good reason, well, my GS will let me know in advance. I hit channel 87 on the TV, outside view camera, and I unlock my safe before answering the door.

What I have inside is a private JD household secret, but it will get the job done and I don't have to worry too much about return fire. *claymores are a bitch*
