Your intended use for it?
Just by looking at your list, I'm thinking you need a Gold Cup or Trophy Match.

Colt Gold Cup, the SA TRP is nice, any of the new Dan Wessons, you might even find a used Wilson Combat for that amount. with your budget, you have many choices. you could even buy two really nice ones for that price. even at a $1000 you can get a really nice pistol, like the SA Range Officer, or even some of the Colts. one is nice, but two is better!

i just recently bought the Remington R1 Enhanced, price was $899 + tax, NIB. really nice pistol and very accurate.

+1. Think what it'll be worth 10 years from now. Colts just seem to always go up in value.

You want to talk about increasing value, nothing I've seen compares to Dan Wesson. The CBOBs sold a few years ago new for around $1000. Used ones now are easily bringing $1300 to $1500. Dan Wesson gets my vote in the under $2k category.
