New(to me) Kimber HD
2 Attachment(s)
I finally got my new Kimber Pro Carry HD!! many of you know I had a Pro Carry but when I first started shopping for 1911s I wanted stainless and that never really changed so I decided to get what I originally wanted....a 4" all stainless 1911. I unloaded my Kimber and thru a trade or two made the switch without spending a dime!
I found this one with a claimed round count of 250...I can't prove that's true but the gun shows very little where and still has that new gun tightness. Attachment 26009 Attachment 26010 I've already got plans to change the grips to something smooth for carrying...maybe billet. I also want to bob it and get rid of the plastic MSH. I can't wait to get to the range but I don't thats going to happen until later this week or this weekend. |
Looks good Wes! Congratulations!

Thanks buddy.
Oh, and for the record, Brian....my skinny butt can carry it just fine. I really can't tell much difference between it and my other one. Don't worry, I've just been wearing it around the house. I have to shoot the crap out of it a couple times before it becomes my carry piece. |

The question isn't really if you CAN carry it, but if you will every time you leave the house. ;) Put on a good belt, tuck the holster in and saddle it up, pack in the 2.2lb gun laoded etc.... :D Looking forward to the range report! BTW, I'm in no shape to call you skinny!! |
It's only 35oz.....7oz heavier then an aluminum framed version.

Congratulations Spitty. That's a fine looking pistol.

Why bacon fat? Well I had a big pan of bacon going, it was warm, liquid and makes it smell nice. |
