Default new grips for remington r1

Where can I find a good set of grips for a Remington r1? Is it an exact 1911 clone? I want to know before I buy a set that won't fit.

It doesn't have an ambidextrous safety so any standard grips should work.

Any full size grips will work just fine. When it comes to 1911 grips, you have plenty of choices! Good luck!

Olympus (who posted earlier in this thread) is a premier 1911 wood grip maker.

There is also Sarge's grips:
www.thefinergrain.com

And VZ grips (as was already mentioned).

Esmeralda O'Sheehan is a top notch maker as well.
