Default New Crimson Trace Master Series 1911 Grips

According to The Tactical Wire, Crimson Trace will be coming out with a redesigned laser grip for the 1911, called their Master Series, that allows use with any ambidextrous thumb safety, AND CAN BE ORDERED FOR BOBTAIL GRIPS!!! Apparently, by redesigning/repositioning the master switch, it allows the trimming of the grips to accomadate the grips for bobtail/rounded butts (and don't we all love rounded butts - - - on our 1911's)

First S&W Enhanced 1911's, and now this. That scandium round butt commander is now at the top of my stalking list. Life is worth living again.

Found out today, that Crimson Trace will be releasing their new Master Series 1911 grips in May, and will update their site then. Still waiting on an answer to my question as to if the new grips will be available for the Ed Brown Bobtail only, or also for a rounded grip like the new S&W E Series SC. I am, of course, hoping for both!

I was on a business trip to Portland last week and happened to be in Wilsonville. I stopped by the Crimson Trace factory and picked up an LG-907 for a SW 1911SC E series. I took the old grips off and installed the grips. Note for SW users... when you take off the grip the ambi safety on the right side will fall out. The grip actually holds it on. Grip fits perfectly and the controls work great. Can't wait to get it out to the range and try it out tomorrow.

I took the SW1911 to the range yesterday and got the following group at 50'. This is about 1/2 the size of the best group I could get without the laser. Will do some more fine tuning next time out but this was right out of the box.
