Default New Colt 1911 Wiley Clapp LW Comander

I grew up on the 1911's. My father had one upon returning from WWII. I trained with one and carried a 1911 in Vietnam. I have had several over the years. S&W 1911 SC, Colt 1991, (2) Kimber Pro CDPs. Modernized and have several Glocks. But I miss the deal of a 1911 in my hands and found a WC Colt at my local gun shop...it followed me home and will sit under the Christmas tree this year.

Made it to the range yesterday. I put 50 rounds of 230gr. range ammo and 20 rounds of Hornady 230gr. +P TAP ammo. Functioned without a problem. Point of impact was to point if aim at 7 yards. I just need yo learn to aim better. Plan to return to range on Saturday with the family (as I stated in previous post). I could not wait
Th cocking serations on slide a a bit sharp not to the hands but to my holster...Galco Avenger.

Neilage66,
Thanks for the pix. I shoot about as well as I take pictures. Going to the range with family today after son's karate class.

Whets the MSRP on one of those? I've found Colt's catalog online but now I can't open it for some reason. I want a 1911 so bad, and I keep flip flopping between Colt and Springfield Armory.

Trip286,
I searched the net and most listed $1300 (+/-). One source said MSRP $1500. I traded my AR even for the WC. Bill of sale said $1100.
