There's always that option.

What a Remington R1 Enhanced? Anyone know what they're selling for?

Don't know, hasn't really thought if that either. I'm still stuck on a black or blued frame for some reason.

My local shop actually had an R1 Enchanced. It was $860. Looked pretty good except for the finish on the controls. Seemed a little thin and there was already where on the frame for people working the thumb safety. Not a good sign to me.

@Olympus,

Since you have already stated that you have Taurus that you have used and abused, perhaps you would consider the Taurus PT 1911, matte black finish. I think that those grips that you made would look sick on the one that I own if it did not already have rubber finger notch grips on it.

I just have to find a gun that they will go with. I'm thinking they look best on a blued or black frame/gun, but open to opinions. I think my budget would be about $1100 though I'm a long way from there. What would everyone recommend?

Here are what the grips look like:

Already have one Taurus 1911, I don't need another.

Fair enough. But is that not like saying that "I already have a shotgun, I do not need another"?

I think those grips would look great on my Springfield (Loaded).
You could always send them to me for a trial run.
