So. Now that it's been established that a .45 is needed..

Her 500 dollar limit is not acceptable..

My defense, " I have no idea how much they are. It's been over 20 years since I looked at them"..

Or.. " No honey,.. These are hand tuned personal tools that you carry everyday "..lol

You and Dillinger are feeding the fire with this.

So her 4 door Honda falls under that $500 limit?

Well. I am going to be honest. I think the best "$500" 1911 ( if that is the platform you want ) is the Rock Island Tactical that NGIB has been hawking.

Now, in the ".45" category there are a lot of "other" pistols out there, none of which I am anything close to an "expert" or "authority" in. I am going to defer to other folks in this area.

The key, for you, is to decide what "feels" good to you. What just mates up with your hand and makes you want to never let her go??

For me, and I do have larger than normal hands, the Sig was good, the H&K USP Tactical was too big and purchased because I "needed" it and then the Kimber 1911 just felt like a golden glove.

You need to determine what feels good. What type of pistol, what grip angle, what feels "right"??

When you find that, then we can help you shop for what is going to bring it to your gunsafe.

JD
