I have come in to some extra money as of late, and always wanting a 1911, I have narrowed it down to these three models
Dan Wesson CBOB .45
Dan Wesson COC .45
Kimber Ultra Carry II
This handgun will be used for daily carry and home protection. I would appreciate opinions of these models only but welcome input on these
Thanks |

I'd go with a Kimber Ultra II. My Compact II has never failed me. |

I carry a Colt New Agent mostly. Been a great subcompact 1911. __________________ Not Registered? Register now! - It's free and helps the community grow. |

My favorite 1911 is my CBOB. I have owned a Les Baer TRS and a Springfield Mil Spec that I sent through Springfield Custom & Novak's. Both the Baer and the SA were excellent pistols, with the edge going to the Baer. The only one I still have is the CBOB.
With 230gr. FMJ, it's a mellow shooter. With +P HP's, it's downright snappy & fun to shoot.
Try and shoot them all. Only you know what feels right. They're all good pistols. __________________ Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where those least capable of leadership are elected by those least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to succeed or provide for themselves are rewarded with goods and services paid for by wealth confiscated from a diminishing number of people who actually work and produce.

I have two Sig 1911's, two Kimber 1911's, and a DW CBOB. I've carried the Kimbers almost exclusively for years, but now the DW is gonna get worked into the rotation. I think the CBOB is tighter, more accurate, and has a better trigger than my other ones. Don't get me wrong, all of them are nice shooting pistols, but I give the edge to the CBOB . __________________ NRA Life Member

Out of the ones you listed I would prefer the Kimber. __________________ "If you are a warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon,
