Smokey,

If it is in excellent condition finish and all that is not far from what they are bringing. I usually see them going for $600-700 in excellent condition. Obviously the condition and how much they have been shot and certainly the finish also determines the value. If we could see some pics of it would be helpful. You probably do not have that option available. But doesn't sound like a bad deal. They are a very nice pistol and if you have an opportunity to shoot it before buying it would be a plus to assure it functions correctly.

I would say its about 80% to 90%. Looks like it hasnt been shot very much. A guy traded it for a SA xdm subcompact. He said the reason he traded it was cause he ended up getting alot of built 40 cal ammo.

Is it a 3.5" Officers or is it a 3" Series 90 Defender?

Is it a 45?

80-90% is a wide range.

$650 sounds good for a running Colt mouse gun.

3.5 officers series 80 yes it is a 45. The only thing that I see is just holster wear and as it will be my carry gun that doesn't matter to me. Just want to make sure I wasn't over paying for it.

Went to the range today with all my 1911! Put about 250 rds through my new to me colt about 80% of the time slide failed to go into battery. Thinking I need to change the recoil spring. But I tell you the 1911 is my fav pistol to shoot.

Did the FTRTB happen with all mags, or just one?

Do yourself a favor and call Aaron (877)837-9445 at Tripp Research.

Tell him canebrake sent you and buy one Gen II Cobra Mag for your 1911. If you don't agree that the Cobra Mag is the best you've shot, I will buy it from you including the shipping to and from you!

Yes, they are that good! And I bet you will be buying more Cobra Mags after this test!
