BTW: I had pretty much talked myself into a 4.25" barrel until I held this 5" guy at ACE, and held a couple of smaller ones. By far the 5" balanced the best, and felt absolutely GREAT in my hand.

I haven't shot one personally but I have heard good things about the american classic 1911s.
