I have been looking at different 1911s trying to make up my mind and I came across the Taurus 1191109BHG1 and LOVE IT!!! I would prefer a non-railed version though but unfortunately I can't find one to get the model number off it to search for it, if it was ever made. I'd be OK with the 1191109PSSG1 or the 1191109PG1 also... again prefer non-railed. I know it's a long shot (no pun intended) but if someone could point me to one of these I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

The PT1911's are pretty good pistols. Their popularity has drove prices up on them a bit though and for the money you'll spend on one of those you can get others. Don't get me wrong though. I do like them..I've bought two of them (one as a gift for a friend and one for me). Have you looked at Taurus's site for find the model number you most like? You can find them all here .

If you're looking at Buds check out his Springfields, they usually have pretty good prices on them too. The prices should get pretty close. Though some of those springers get get pricey a loaded one usually is not too hard to afford compared to what you will put into a new PT1911.

Just my opinion mind you but you'd be better off with the RIA-
I have the Tactical & love it so i'm a bit bias

I realize you're paying a little bit for the special edition features but these have been discontinued I believe and are not listed on Taurus's site but there still may be a dealer with one he's trying to sell out there.

Have you checked out the High Standard 1911s, they are made by the same company as RIA. I have one and its been 110% for almost 2k rounds now, best $500 ive ever spunt :-)

I'll check them out but I'd really prefer the Taurus I listed above... looks like Bud's was selling them under $600, great reviews and... look at it!!!

More than likely the RIA is the one I'll get but I gotta try to find the Taurus I want first. I'd like to see a visual comparison of the Taurus and RIA sights.
