Picked it up on Thursday. Just some new grips for now. Can't wait to get out and shoot it.

Shoot the hell out of it. Just make sure you CLEAN it and lube it well before shooting it. I like to run FMJ the 1st few hundred rounds but to be honest a new gun should run out of the box with anything. Congrats on the new blaster by the way.

Hoss you have an eye for detail! As you said all the boolits are under the gun hence the reason its unlocked. I'll have her saftied up when the ammo goes in.

I am going to clean it well before taking it out. I haven't cleaned and lubed a 1911 on my own before so it will be a learning experience for me.

But the cocked with the safety off is never a good idea-----Be best to make that move second nature ---NOT preaching my friend :cool:
