Default My new compact 1911 45 acp.

I bought this gun used friday. It is a Safari Arms Enforcer. Has anyone on here ever heard of Safari Arms, also known as Schuetzen Gun Works, now owned by Olympic Arms, or has ever owned one. It is a very nicely built pistol that shoots better than it looks. From what I heard Richard Neimer, the pistolsmith, and the brains behind the former company Detonics is the one behind this gun, he is the pistolsmith for Olympic arms now. Also what I have heard it is a custom order gun that takes up to a year to get, is this true? I have never seen one in any gunstore.

Detonics used to be in every gun rag and every shop.

It is nice to see it again.

Nice looking gun Elwood1. It has a Bob Loveless, Black Bear touch.

As far as Schuetzen Gun Works, I'll wait a tad longer for feedback but...........this model caught my eye;

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Yeah I shot it friday night, on the way home, I couldnt stand not shooting it. It shoots extremely well. I cant wait for the weekend so I can get some more range time, and try some different loads to see which ones it likes best. The only rounds I have shot in it has been CCI Blazer Brass 230gr. fmj, it shot those really good, I am really impressed with it so far. I havnt had any time to shoot it since the day I brought it home.
