Default Mr. Ruger found a friend!

My friend made an impulse buy and quickly regretted it. He bought a Sig Sauer C3 with Crimson Trace grips bnib from Gander. I was present for the only 200 rds put through it and it ran flawlessly. He paid close to 1200 and I picked it up for 800 no complaints here.
Only thing is he did not wipe off the packing grease before he shot it and it ended up baking into the slide. We are currently working with Sig to resolve this.

Fine lookin' Sig 1911 . Not to mention the Ruger SR1911 looks pretty good too.

Don't CT grips usually run the price up 1-200 bucks? I'd sell them as new (so long as you really don't like them) and put some pretty wood on there.

SCORE!!!!! TOO sweet.

I need to find a friend or two for my Springy and also for my 686....they get lonely. We all know autos and wheel guns dont like to hang out together much and dont really have much in common.

And after he found out that all that was wrong with it was he didn't clean out the packing grease, is he still your friend after you fleecing him?

P.S. In regard to the baked on packing grease, I've read ways to get stubborn cosmoline out of old antigue & war surplus rifles which might be helpful & not have to depend on the factory. Since I don't have any of them, didn't pay a lot of attention to how to do it. If they have a section here for that, might check with them.
