Default model 1911 U.S.Army

I inherited a 1911 U.S.Army 45 cal. with a register number 543000 range, it was purchased by my girlfriends uncle who passed away from the armory in Alabama. I contacted Colt and they said the gun was manufactored in 1917. I was wondering if anybody knew what the appraisal value of this weapon could be.
