Mec gar mags
 

Buddy of mine is sellin 5 mec-gar 1911 mags for 10 a pop are they good mags should I jump on this or no also is that a good price?

they're decent. not the worst, but not the best. Mec-Gar makes mags for lots of firearms makers as OEM mags. they also make mags for guns no longer made and for guns that even the makers don't offer anymore. $10 each is a decent price if they are in good shape and depending on the finish.

Never tried one for my 1911, but I have a bunch (means more than 6) of their 18 round 9mm mags for my Sig P226. Never an issue, no FTF.

For that price, try them. If they work for you, good. If they do not work, then you don't have that much invested.

I've got 4 in 9mm and a couple in 45acp. All have fed just fine so far. $10 is not a bad deal if they are in decent shape.

They are pretty decent. The ones for my Hi Power are great. The ones for my 1911 work except they dont lock the slide back after the last round.

I have & use a few in my 9mm- Never had a problem.

If you don't buy them, I will.

Never had a problem with them in any 1911 I own. The only mags I have ever had a problem with are the gun show ones my buddy picked up at a gun show for 8 bucks. Learned to buy decent mags after that.

Good for range mags.

I do carry Mec-Gar in my BHP.
