Wow! 22.5 million for 12,000 units. Thats $1875 each. Seems like they could get a better discount.

Is this purchase by the Marines going to make Colts even HARDER to find? I have a Combat Elite on the top of my list and I am finding it hard to find.

its more than just the gun. training for the armorers, full sets of repair parts and colt servicing them if requested. its actually a very good deal for the best combat handgun in the world

Idk about colt but with our m9 we all have a service kit thats basically a whole gun minus the frame. So 1800 isnt that much

I have one good story to tell about the M9: my youngest son's ex-wife was an Air Security Police member when they met and married. While they were stationed at Travis AFB, she became "infiltrated" by my first Grandson. When it got to the point that she could no longer fit her web-gear around him, they issued her an official Maternity Shoulder Holster for her duty M9 pistol (no, I do not have the MSN for the rig!). And was told that they never had such things for the 1911's when they were regulation. I assume the Corps will make sure they have some in the supply pipeline!

Here, here, to that! PLUS...everyone issued a 1911 sidearm should be ordered to carry even on base. Never again should a crazy Muslim officer be able to fire on others while on base and not get any resistance.

You guys have absolutely convinced me I want one of these 1911 .45 firearms. Thanks
