Default Mags

Anybody ever order any mags from Joe's 1911 Mags.net? Good or bad?

Life's too short to buy bargain magazines!

Tripp Research, and never look back.

If you never listen to me before, do yourself a favor and pay attention to this old man.

Tripp Research Inc. 1911 Magazines Call Aaron @ Tripp (877.837.9445) and order one. (Tell him canebrake said hi.)

Before you buy any mag, read the following;

Tripp’s Cobra Magazine Test

I bought a kimber pro carry II

1911 and Hollow Points

1911 magazine question, Cane..Anyone

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

How are the Cobra mags in the 8 shot.? Many say that an 8 shot magazine,? Are not as reliable as the 7 rounders in a 1911.? but I was just wondering about Trips 8 round magazines for my new Ruger SR1911 gun.? Like to hear Canebrake's feed back on this.? thanks

Virgil Tripp makes three different 1911 magazines for the 45 ACP. They are the 7r, 8r and the 10r.

The mag tubes are different for each capacity. Yes, the 8r mag sticks out of the bottom of the grip a tad more because of the design. With the bumper pad it looks like a pinkie extension.

Most 8r mags sold today use the same mag tube for their 7 and 8 round offerings. What you wind up with is the spring is forced into bind when you squeeze that extra round in and the reliability suffers as a result.

You can purchase the Cobra Mag 8 rounders with confidence. I have tossed thousands of rounds in assorted brands and configurations of 45 ACP ammo down range with complete trust in the Tripp Research brand's efficacy .
