Well I finally bought my drum mag and it is made by Promag but I did run into a problem.........
I have since sold my Kimber and purchased a Sig 1911 that I have been tweaking to my liking. One of the such tweaks was I added an extended magwell which the way the drum was designed does not allow the drum to lock into place.
So I was stuck with a drum that I couldn't use unless I removed the magwell extention every time I shot it or modify the base of the magazine on the drum to work with the magwell which I didn't want to cut away at it or take it apart and see if the magazine ( 8rd portion) could be replaced with an extended 10rd which would give it the clearance needed for the magwell extension.
So that's what I did, kind of. I thought since I have a a 10rd extended mag for my Sig 220X6 and since this is my range pistol it would serve me better to make it work for it so that's what I did. It started off life as a 25rd 1911 drum mag but after some brainstorming tweaking and modification it is now a 30 rd Sig 220 drum and as far as I know it the first so without further delay here are the picks.
Now it has not been to the range yet but it loads and unloads as it is supose to so what do you guys think?
