Ha! I was in our local gun store the other day and a guy wanted to offload one of those drum mags for a 1911. The guy working the counter said they were about worthless now I see why. Wouldn't matter if they were reliable that kind of push back would kill sales.

Yeah...but you know what? If that's what you wanna do, screw 'em. Wouldn't be for me, but it ain't my money.

Some of the guys were givin' me a hard time on a different thread, about me wanting one of those slide fire stocks. Their point was my $$$, in their opinion would be better spent on ammo and training and such. And I understand their points, but for me this whole gun thing is about having fun. And I have a s..t-pot full of ammo already anyway. Yeah, we could all stand to be better trained, but hey...if I wanna fry a $600 pos AR with a $350 slide fire stock, I'm gonna do it.

Do what floats yer boat, I say.

I get it. I dont want a high cap mag for my 1911. But I admit I own 20 and 30 round mags for my SKS and my AR. They sell a 100 round drum mag for the AR that I have no interest in. But, someone is buying them. Otherwise manufacturers would not waste they money making them.

To each his own.

I have a drum which is made by promag on my ar, and it works fine about 95% of the time and I had some promags for my colt 1911 and they were crap. I $hitcaned them. I'm all for what you're trying to do and if it works let me know.
Like Canebrake said when I came on here...you got to have thick skin and I finally understand what he was talking about. Do your own thing man...and if they don't like it thats there problem. Guns are like hookers, you don't always get what you pay for.
