Little range time yesterday
Went to the range(back yard) yesterday. I set up a few targets. This is my first time shoot a 1911. Even though it's a Charles Daly and have read some bad reviews. This thing is Sweet! I put over 100 rounds through it. Could've shot it all day long. If I had the ammo. The trigger was a little heavy but no creep and crisp. Was very surprised. The recoil was smooth and light. My XD45 don't shoot this good!

Think i'm Addicted!:D

Sounds good. Don't knock your Charles Daly, it's a decent pistol and you're happy with it. If a gun is reliable, accurate and safe, it doesn't matter if it's called a Fred or a Huck. ;)

Thanks! It's so fun to shoot! Would like to lighten the trigger a little and some different sights.

1911's are aweful addicting. I rarely shoot my other pistols these days. I used to be hooked on Glocks, still have several and love them, but I carry and shoot my Ed Browns unless I'm going to the beach. Then the Glocks come out, plus one resides in the glove box of the truck. The 1911 stays on my hip.

I have shot 1911s in the past never loved them. My friends swear by them and one of my buds owns quite a collection of them. When I started to consider a new firearm purchase I thought about a 1911 started looking at a few and came across a SA TRP and loved it!! Didn't love the price though. But when I saw SIGs 1911 Nitron it was the best of both worlds, a great feeling, reliable 1911 and at a sub $800 price.

Needless to say I have definitely caught the 1911 bug. I have a purchase permit coming to me in the next few weeks and I'm going to seek out another. I am going to give that RIA 10mm a serious look.

I bet all your trigger needs is a good cleaning and a few more boxes of ammo.

Welcome to the 1911 fraternity!

A 1911.
There is not other pistol that can stand up to its reputation over the years.

Welcome to the club.

Thanks! I purchased another 150rds today. Found some instructions on how to do a complete teardown. Give it a good cleaning and inspection of the the trigger system.

I missed out on a Kimber Compact. Still looking!:D
