You've got some nice ones there Josh.

Here's your critique, Josh. Get rid of that crappy old Series 70. Send it to me!

Thanks guys. I was thinking about just giving the 70 away since it's so old. I built that Caspian as a 70 as well. I'm still trying to figure out the improvement in the 80.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Well, OK, Doc. I'll take that moldy old relic off your hands.

Improvement? Haha. The product liability attorneys certainly thought it was an improvement. But honestly they are not that bad.

I really like the black fire controls on that RIA.

I am not sure if I posted this one or not (toolazy to look back ). It's a 9mm I set up for range fun. I've done a good bit of work on this one. I still been to replace the barrel with one that I can hand fit and I think I'll be done with it.

I wish I could post my inheritance on here. I've started a thread about american made 1911's as I'm looking at getting one, and I mentioned my dad having an old colt locked in a safe that was passed down from my grandfather. this is one of the original Colt 1911's. This thing was made in 1912. I'm sure most of you know the history behind the gun, ie, prototyped and patented in 1911, went into production beginning of 1912. This particular gun was of the 2nd production batch made by Colt, serialed in the 500's, stamped for NAVY. The first run was a batch numbered 1-500, the second batch was numbered 501-1000.

Alas, I have no pics, and it won't be officially mine until my dad either hands it over or dies. (this presents a very interesting moral question concerning my feelings over this)
