Auto Ordnance/Thompson, not sure of its age. Got it in a deal I couldnt pass up. Its my first go at a 1911. Basically only the frame and slide will survive.

The grips are custom cut Hedgewood (Osage Orange) with 1911 Barber dimes inset into them. I have trigger, Hammer and springs on order.

Nothing wrong with the older AOs. Ive got 1 that loves to show up newer fancy 1911s.

I love it. No issues or complaints. Define"older" though. Im not sure of its age but it "seems" older. How would a person determine such age?

Where was it made? I believe it was '99 that Kahr (Worchester, Ma) took over. A lot of people claim that the pre Kahr AOs were junk. Personally, I like the older West Hurley models better tho. To each their own, not trying to spur up anyone.

I'm cheating here. This one is not mine.

I played with the RIAs at SHOT last week because everyone raves about them, they are dirt cheap, and the competition shooters use them as platforms to build comp guns.

This is a 5" .45ACP with a full length dust cover and rail. Creamy and delicious.

And they make them in 9mm, .40SW, 10mm and .45ACP.

This pistol is less than $600, actual price.

Anyone here shooting one of these full dust cover RIAs?
