Les Baer Sights

I have a question about Les Baer's sights. On most of his guns he has adjustable target sights. On a couple of other models he has fixed combat sights. My question is in reference to the sights on the Les Baer Premiere II Super-Tac. They appear to be adjustable target night sights. However, they look extremely beefy for target style sights. Would this version of sights be more than adequate for the concealed carry role? They almost look like the sights used on Nighthawk Customs new Bob Marvel piece.

Thanks.

They look good and I'm in the market for new adj sights for 1911. What do they cost and who makes them ?

I like adjustables on the range and competition.

My carry guns have fixed sights that are adjusted for the load.

I have found that once adjusted, I never change the settings. So why put adjustables on?
And most adjustable sights increase the overall size of my concealed carry pieces and increase the chances of snagging something.

Adj sights

Yeah, my Colt Officers has fixed sights as well but my Combat Elite has Adj.

If properly machined into the slide, I don't find them any more snag-able then fixed. Fixed is great if you reload or have a load where POA equals POI. Otherwise, Kentucky windage is required. The theory is at self defense ranges, the difference will not matter.

For those of us who shoot whatever's on sale, different weight, brand etc the adj sights are a blessing. Everyone's eyesight is not 20/20 is another reason or rationale

For carry, I'd have to suggest Heinie style tactical night sights. They aren't adjustable, but for duty and carry there aren't many as good.
