Default Left gun show w/ first 1911 in hand

My first 1911, in 45acp anyway (I have a GSG 22lr).

Ruger SR1911 matte stainless, $699. Just your basic entry level setup, exactly as shown in this shamelessly jacked web pic:

Pics/range report to follow if I ever get a little time off work.

The other gun that impressed me at the show was the Kahr CW45. Nice compact little single stack (6+1) for under $370. Might be my next addition.

Anyhow, here's the current pistol roster (bought the 1st three years ago):

GSG 1911 (22lr)
Ruger SP101 (357m)
Kel Tec PF9 (9mm)
CZ 75b (9mm)
Browning Hi-Power (9mm)
Sig P226 (357/40)
Ruger SR1911 (45acp)
SA XDm45 (45acp)

How am I doing?

I would say that SIG P226 chambered in .357 SIG/.40 s&w is your crown jewel.

But nice Ruger!!

Funny, that's the one I keep toying with the idea of selling...or swapping into a P220, to consolidate calibers a bit. Otherwise it's been a great gun.

Nice snag sweeper, I hear they are hard to find.

These Rugers are really tough to get ahold of right now. I figured it was the perfect first 1911 for me, and I really like the finish & color scheme on this particular one.

I seem to be trending toward a 9mm and 45acp pistol lineup. I'll probably add the CW45 or XDs45 for a compact carry, and then a Sig P220.

I like shooting just about any centerfire, but I'm just plain better with 9mm/45acp. I love the P226, but shooting 357sig can really beat the heck out of your wallet. I've been debating selling it for a couple years now. I just don't get around to it because I like the platform so much. Maybe swapping it out for a P220 would ease my mind a bit.
