Bead blasting would be the cheapest way to go then. I really like the SIS line of Kimbers, but the ones I have seen that were BB'd looked great!

UPDATE! FINALLY. The local gun shop I bought the Kimber from Wants me to bring the gun by there tomorrow to be shipped out. They also told me that Ann was fired. Still pretty ticked it took a month and numerous phone calls to get any results, especially after being a loyal customer of theirs.

Glad you are getting the deserved help, Have never talked to Ann but have heard horror stories about her, Kimber should be glad she is gone!

I kinda hope she is gone. After own 7 of their 1911s you would think they would want to be a little more careful with the repeat customers. I kinda feel like a huge pain in the arse for causing such an uproar...but that was alot of cash to drop on a 1911

Apparently she is NOT fired, but got chewed out. She denies ever talking to me on the phone OR exchanging email with me on the issue.

Well that is one person they definately need to get rid of. All signs of a liar and theif. I am sure they will find bigger problems with Ann if they don't get rid of the cancer now. Jerry

I was now told I would have the whole gun refinished and returned in a week. Now its 3-5 weeks, and its just the slide.
I'm starting to get REALLY P***ed.

Maybe you should stop talking to the employees and ask nicely to speak to the C.E.O. or owner. You shouldn't have to go through this. Customer Satisfaction is what makes for a good business...
