Default Kimber Pro CDP II - Shells popping me in the face.

I have a Kimber Pro CDP II and I went to the range today. Every other round or two, the shells would come and pop me in the face. Any advise what could be the case for this?

Not familiar with the gun but it sounds like an ejector issue.

try a different brand of ammo and see if it changes. if not, or if you are dedicated to the current brand of ammo, then you can have a gunsmith make an adjustment to the ejector. or watch one of the millions of gunsmithing videos available on the 1911 platform and do it yourself if you feel so inclined.

The last kimber that i fired did the same thing. Seems like its a common occurance with kimber. No need to call their CS about it, they will blame the ammo....or tell you to call back after you have 500rds through it

To my suprise, when I called Kimber, CS took all of my info and sent me the lable to send them the gun. I guess this is rare for CS to respond this fast. I have heard way too many horrible CS stories about Kimber but this was a good experience.

And you don't know how long they'll have it. I'd try different ammo first.
