I love my Cocobolo grips. They just do so much for a 1911.

very nice.. dont be to mad at yourself it doesnt have "the noob" mark. the big half moon on the slide.

oof! across the slide!?

I took the bland black cheap rubber grips and sprayed with ALUMA-HYDE II in Olive Drab.





Process:
I washed grips with dove dish soap.
Let dry
Applied 2-coats based on instructions on the can. A full 3 days later, the
paint is still tacky! I did paint it in the sun and left it out for 3 hours in the
sun.
