Syd Barrett, Nick Mason and Roger Waters in the late '60s. Oh yea!

When Syd's brain fried in '68 David Gilmour stepped in and the Barrett era came to an end. Syd would be so whacked out on acid he would strum one cord the whole concert! His staring at the lights is what Waters used in the lyrics of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" in 1975. ("Now there's a look in your eyes/ Like black holes in the sky")

Of all my concert going, Pink Floyd is the band I've seen the most!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

You're exactly right. You know your Floyd! Wish I had had a chance to see them. Did you hear when Syd came in to their recording session fat and with all his hair shaved off, including his brows? Poor guy... a little too much Purple Haze I guess.

The album "Wish You Were Here" was in part a tribute to Syd. The meeting you refer to was his impromptu studio visit while the band was recording "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and the band didn't even recognize him!

Any idea where I could get something pretty similar? And I don't want them to be really smooth, because it will be my carry gun and I'll need some texturizing so I can get good purchase if I have to.

Also....do you think white grips would look purdy?
Actually try 1911 Custom Killer Grips - Home.

Ray makes some nice custom grips.

Tell him Jerry sent you from e1911pistolgrips.com

Default ivory T3 grips

I notice that it had been a while since you posted the question but I just found it. If you are still looking for ivory grips for your T3 I have a set of pre ban ivory grips with the nighthawk custom logo that I will sell for $350 if you are interested.
Thanks for your time
