Late to the show, but have you considered Paper Ivory Micarta?
Good looking stuff, MUCH like ivory, but impervious to just about everything. No worries about use or age at all.
Good luck!

I like that, I'll go to your website and order a pair. Bought a pair of "ivory" polymer yesterday at a gun show, brought them home and put them on the pistol, and they really look like cheap plastic. I'm an idiot to think that I could put cheap grips on such a beautiful firearm. They stick out like a sore thumb.

Any idea where I could get something pretty similar? And I don't want them to be really smooth, because it will be my carry gun and I'll need some texturizing so I can get good purchase if I have to.

Also....do you think white grips would look purdy?
What about real stag?

I love stag, but isn't the real thing pretty expensive, too?

By the way, I picked up a Mark IV Series 70 yesterday. My first Colt 1911! I wanna be like you, Cane!

Of all my 1911s, including two Kimbers and a Nighthawk, this one by far feels the best in my hand.
