Ivory grips for Nighthawk T3
I would really like to put a pair of ivory grips on the T3 (my avatar), but most of them that I see on GunBroker are $500-600. That's not gonna happen.
Any idea where I could get something pretty similar? And I don't want them to be really smooth, because it will be my carry gun and I'll need some texturizing so I can get good purchase if I have to.
Also....do you think white grips would look purdy?

What about stag instead? You can find them for $100-$300 or so. If you get a pair with some decent bark, they should grip pretty well for carry.
I think the lighter color grips like ivory and stag look best on stainless handguns.

I've got a set of smooth fake ivory and smooth fake pearl. If I'm not to lazy tonight, I'll shoot some pix of these on my only stainless 1911.
No, I'm not ghey, I got these grips on guns I got in trade!

I actually got the Ajax fake pearl grips on a matte black Springer Loaded I picked up on a trade. The gun looked like it was stolen directly from a Tijuana pimp. I put them on my Kimber occasionally for the monthly pin shoots just to get the comperition laughing...

Thanks for that, very nice. Another stupid question...are most 1911 grips of a standard size? Would most grips that fit a Colt or Kimber 1911 standard size pistol fit my T3, which is more of a concealed-carry size?

I Googled and saw yours is built on an officer's frame so that is the size of grips you'll need. Any grips that say they fit a Colt Officer's model should fit yours just fine...
