I gave one to my Mother. 9mm Compact Stainless. Much better fit and finish than I thought we would see in that price range. She has yet to fire it, we were going to today but the rain curtailed those activities for today. Really does seem to be a very well made pistol though.
Now i have fired a full size that I sold to my neighbor. Awesome gun. Adjustable target sights and very accurate. The bluing on it actually looks like bluing. Most of the 1911's I see these days in that price range seem to only come parked.
I will do my dead level best to remember to come and give a range report after I actually fire my Mom's. Probably be Monday though.
